The main topic is “Synodality and catholicity: the experience of the UGCC.”
We remind that His Beatitude Sviatoslav issued the Decree on convening the Holy Synod of Bishops of the UGCC on May 16, 2022.
All bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church are invited to participate in the Synod, who by power of church law and their oath, have an urgent duty to participate in it. Bishops-emeritus, members of the Holy Synod are cordially invited.
As you know, the Synods of Bishops of the UGCC in 2020 and 2021 were held online due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Synod of Bishops in 2022 was planned to be held in Kyiv. However, due to hostilities, the venue was changed to Przemyśl.
