His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Head of the UGCC, visited Brovary, where he saw first-hand the work of its humanitarian headquarters, visited the UGCC parish in this city of the Kyiv region, and thanked the parishioners for their social services during the war. Igor Sapozhko, Mayor of Brovary, came out to welcome the Primate of the UGCC.

From the first days of the war, the city organized a volunteer humanitarian headquarters, which provides assistance and shelter to those in need. About 40 volunteers work in the headquarters every day. These are teachers, managers, and civil servants who have decided that they cannot sit idly by during the war. The UGCC parish works closely with the humanitarian headquarters.

The church itself also provided and continues to provide social assistance, and about 70 city residents from surrounding homes found shelter in the church’s basement during bombing and rocket fire alerts.

"I came to thank you, to bow my head in gratitude… There is a war going on. Sitting with folded arms is just a crime when you feel you have to do something… Now, all those who did not take up arms are volunteers,” the Head of the UGCC told the Brovary volunteers. And he voiced his wish, that those who were forcibly displaced would survive this disaster in peace, and emerge victorious.

Fr. Oleg Panchynyak, pastor of Three Saints parish in Brovary, thanked the hierarch. "I sincerely thank His Beatitude Sviatoslav for the visit. Thank you for boosting our hometown’s spirits, visiting, blessing, and praying for us. Be healthy and happy. And forward to victory!"
