On May 17-19, 2021, a retreat was held for priests of the Apostolic Exarchate in Germany and Scandinavia and the Paris Eparchy of St. Volodymyr the Great.

This is not the first time that the clergy who pastor in these areas have met together. This tradition has existed for many years, and its peculiarity is that the youngest bishop of our Church has always been chosen to accompany the retreatants.

This year, due to epidemiological conditions, the usual meeting was impossible, albeit highly anticipated. Therefore, those days of spiritual renewal took place online.

This year's retreat speaker was Bishop Bohdan Dziurakh, the recently enthroned apostolic exarch for the faithful in Germany and Scandinavia.

In his address to the pastors, Bishop Bohdan encouraged to look at the figure of St. Joseph from different perspectives. For the figure and position of St. Joseph, although he remains invisible in the Gospel texts, are eloquent and instructive. Another important aspect of this year's reflection is the attitude towards wealth and the memory of the poor.

Deep and interesting reflections on the figure of St. Joseph the Betrothed, who is especially honored this year at the urging of Pope Francis, is a good opportunity for all pastors to rethink their ministry in a new light.
