Permanent Synod Meeting in Kyiv

The Permanent Synod of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church held it's scheduled meeting in Kyiv, Ukraine 6-9 December. In the context of the monumental challenges our people are facing we discussed with hope the future of a Church that has been blessed by trials and triumphs, great crosses and a powerful resurrection. Serving our people on the brink of a humanitarian crisis, witnessing to truth, justice and peace in Ukraine and internationally and planning the Sobor/ Council and Synod of 2015 were among the many topics focusing our prayer, deliberations and fellowship.

Bishop Borys of Paris, Metropolitan & Archbishop Volodymyr of Ivano-Frankivsk, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Bishop Ken of New Westminster, Bishop Yaroslav of Sambir-Drohobych, Bishop Bohdan Secretary of the Synod of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Bishops.
