Today we ought to be grateful that God and the Blessed Virgin Mary have brought us to Zarvanytsia and gave this great treasure of our personal meeting we need in order to feel ourselves as a single family, a single community of children of God, a single Church.

The Father and Head of the UGCC His Beatitude Sviatoslav said while greeting youth during the national pilgrimage to the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Zarvanytsia.

The Head of the Church encouraged pray for those who died of the pandemic and for all physicians who risk their lives for saving the sick.

The Major Archbishop mentioned that it is a big privilege for him to socialize with young people despite short time. He also emphasized that this year the Church presented youth a gift, which is a new Catechism for Youth “We follow Christ”.

Interestingly, this Catechism consists of answers to questions put by young people throughout ten years of pilgrimages in Zarvanytsia.

“Ten years of our meetings it is ten years of listening to our youth. Ten years, during which, our young people have always had what to say to their Church, bishops and priests”, the Head said.

At the end each participant received a unique icon to remember this meeting with His Beatitude Sviatoslav in Zarvanytsia. This is the copy of an icon of Jesus with two stains which the Head of the Church received on the 10^th anniversary of his installation.

As for him this icon is an icon of a great hope, a picture symbolizing gratefulness to God for ten years which He granted to us.
