For an eight year the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy UGCC Commission In Matters of Youth, together with institutions of higher learning, schools, civic organizations, social centers and community groups, is organizing a charitable effort “Mykolay will not forget you” in which volunteers -- helpers of St. Nicholas—will deliver gifts to needy children.

The Ternopil -Zboriv Archeparchy  Administration held a Press Conference on November 6th during which the organizers  invited Ternopil residents to join them in this  project (video).

The purpose of this effort is also to honor the memory of the great benefactor St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker in order to highlight to the community the importance of good works and expressions of mercy.

The organizers appeal to all interested to join them by gift donations and financial support.  Gifts (sweets, books, stationary, toys, hygiene items) can be brought by December 17th to the Church of St. Josaphat (Luchakivska St.) where St. Nicholas Factory is located.   Charitable financial donations can be deposited at bank boxes, labeled for this effort.

Additionally, anyone can also offer to become a volunteer, that is:  to assist in gathering  gifts at higher education institutions, schools, organizations, parishes until December 16th;  to wrap gifts at St. Nicholas Factory  during 16-18 December and deliver them by foot or by own automobile to the city’s needy children during  December 18-19 from 14:00 to 21:00.
