Saturday, 03 July 2021, 12:25
On the 3rd of July 2021, in the Ukrainian Hall in Essendon, Bishop Mykola Bychok and Bishop Peter Stasiuk officially met with the Ukrainian Association of Victoria, among whom were representatives of all organizations: social, educational, cultural, financial and sporting institutions of both young and old generations. The purpose of the meeting was first of all an opportunity to meet with each other and share experiences of the life of Ukrainians in Victoria.

During the meeting Bishop Mykola explained: “For me as the new bishop it is of utmost importance to work together with you for the good of our people scattered across various states in Australia. We have a joint undertaking: to preserve and pass on our faith, culture and achievements of our Ukrainian nation to future generations. Obviously without our pioneers’ efforts, this would have been impossible. Today, therefore, I wish to express my sincere words of gratitude first of all to your parents and to all Ukrainian organizations in Victoria. May Almighty God bless our joint efforts for the diligent service of God and our people.”

At the end of the meeting in a friendly

atmosphere, the participants partook of food and refreshments and there was a chance for all to share their experiences as a result of their meeting with both bishops.
