On Thursday, September 15, in Odessa, the papal envoy Cardinal Konrad Krajewski met with Bishop Mykhailo Bubniy, Exarch of the Odessa UGCC, clergy and faithful of the Odessa Exarchate as part of his visit to Ukraine.

During the meeting, Bishop Mykhailo Bubniy congratulated the cardinal and thanked him for this visit to Odesa and presented the humanitarian situation in the Odessa Exarchate to the cardinal, noting that at the beginning of the war, humanitarian centers were established at each parish to help all those in need, especially forcibly displaced persons who suffered as a result of the war.

Taras Pavlius, military chaplain and rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God in the city of Mykolaiv told about the humanitarian situation on the front line in the Mykolaiv region. The priest said that the territory of the Mykolaiv Oblast is in a consistently dangerous and severe state. There are constant shellings, a lack of drinking water, and a large part of the infrastructure has been destroyed.

At the end of the meeting, the clergy prayed to the Most Holy Theotokos for peace in Ukraine. Then, Bishop Mykhailo invited Cardinal Konrad Krajewski to a private meeting and conversation at the episcopal residence.
