The President of Ukraine prayed in the temple of the UGCC in Vyshgorod

Today, the Moleben' service for Peace and Concord in Ukraine took place in the UGCC Cathedral of the Vyshhorod Mother of God, in which participated the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Bishops and clergy of the UGCC, UOC-KP, UAOC, and UOC (MP). It should be noted that the prayer was held as part of a presidential visit to Vyshhorod region. With the blessing of His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Moleben' was headed by Bishop Vasyl' (Tuchapets'), the UGCC Exarch of Kharkiv.

At first, the archpriest Taras Valah, the pastor of the UGCC community in Vyshhorod, met the honorable guests in the yard of the Cathedral. He congratulated all those who had come and wished them special care from the Vyshhorod Virgin Mary: "May the Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, glorified in the Vyshhorod icon of Our Lady, bless you with all the necessary graces for all the undertakings in consolidating the unity and prosperity of our state."

In his welcoming speech, Bishop Vasyl' noted that the great princes of Kyiv were praying before the icon of Vyshhorod Mother of God. And today the prayer of the Head of State is a symbol of the Christian vector of development of our Motherland.

In memory of the prayer, the President of Ukraine was presented with an icon replica of Vyshhorod Virgin Mary.
