Wonderworking icon of Mother of God Lady of Krystynopil honored

The wonderworking icon of the Holy Mother of God in St. George Church in the Basilian Monastery in Chervonohrad was honored on December 22. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Bishop Michael (Koltun), eparch of the Sokal-Zhovkva, in concelebration with hieromonks and priests. Afterward, the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary was consecrated.

In his sermon, the bishop said: "Celebrating this holiday of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary we trust God and sincerely ask that the Lord accept our sacrifice so that our prayer is met…so we may be part of the activity of God's grace.”

According to hieromonk Ignatius Moskaluk, OSBM, the administrator of the parish and pastor of the monastery, "the highlight of our church is Jesus Christ, the wonderworking icon of the Mother of God, and the pure souls of people who go to confession and receive Eucharist."
