The Summer School in Lisbon will be devoted to issues, which are related to ethics and economics. In this regard, during the planned program emphasis will be placed on the ethical dimension of economic activity. Lectures will be conducted by well-known professors and experts from the Milan and Lisbon universities who specialize in ethics and economics. "The relationship that exists between ethics and economics is necessary and essential: economic activity and moral behavior are closely linked and should complement each other. Just as in the field of ethics it is necessary to take into consideration economic arguments and claims, in the field of economics it is necessary to be open to ethical requirements," Dr. Myhailo Melnyk, chair of the Justice and Peace Commission, said in his comments regarding the Summer School. Participation in the Summer School in Portugal is paid. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2012. Applications for participation should be sent the UGCC Justice and Peace Commission at the following e-mail address: [email protected].
