In the name of Patriarch Sviatoslav and the Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, we express our sympathy to all victims of the explosions in Dnipropetrovsk and assure you of our care, solidarity and prayer. May the Merciful Lord heal your wounds and grant you full health!
The Church resolutely censures any expressions of violence and encroachment on human God-given rights and freedom.  Human life is an inalienable value and therefore, no reasons -- be they political or economic or any other motive -- cannot justify this terrible crime against innocent people. We urge all faithful to ardently pray for our beloved Homeland and to provide active solidarity to the victims of the explosion in Dnipropetrovsk.

Bishop Bohdan (Dsiurakh),
Secretary, UGCC Synod of Bishops
