According to the Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Lubomyr (Husar), there is no division between the East and the West Ukraine, the division is between those who love the country and those who do not. He said this in an interview with the “5th channel” on the 18th of July. His Beatitude Lubomyr does not intent to specify on the methods, with which to protect the language, for, as he stated, he is not a specialist in an area; however, he believes that people should, without any hesitation, pronounce their wishes. “We are the independent country. We should thank God, for we are not persecuted with the guns yet. I think that the people should address the authorities with a joint peaceful statement that their will should be taken into account. According to the spiritual leader of UGCC, those who speak Ukrainian language and those who love the country dominate. He believes that such oppositions from the side of the government put it into an “area of high risk”. "The government’s duty is to serve and build the country and not destroy and divide it. I think that the government lacks of a good will. We do not wish to have dictatorship, as a kind of government which will state us what we have to think. Our government should serve the people ", - His Beatitude Lubomyr states.
