The VI Social Days of the UGCC have started in Kirovohrad

"Throughout the whole week we will pray for the orphans and for the children with special needs. Each parishioner has decided for himself or herself to do it not only during the Divine Liturgy, but also during the daily personal prayer", - said Ivan Tretyak, who is the senior priest in the church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist which is in Kirovohrad.

For the purpose of the Campaign of Solidarity with the people in need, what is planned, are the visits to the organizations which take care after orphans in Kirovohrad as well as in children institutions, which are located outside of the city. For this purpose, the city has announced the collection of things that may be presented to the poor children.

At the end of the Social Days of the UGCC, in Kirovohrad there will be held a solemn Divine Liturgy with the participation of orphans; during this Liturgy the entire parish will pray for each child to have a family and parents.

The Program of the VI Social Days of the UGCC in Kirovohrad

11^th of November- the start of the VI Social Days of the UGCC: Divine Liturgy and the prayer for orphans and for the children with special needs;

11-18^th of November – the week of private and common prayers for the orphans in the parish of the UGCC in Kirovohrad;

16^th of November - interfaith roundtable "The Social orphanage in Ukraine";

17^th of November – for the purpose campaign of solidarity with those in need, there will be the visits of the organizations, who care after the orphans of Kirovohrad region;

18^th of November - Divine Liturgy celebrated with the participation of orphans and the blessing of children and parents who adopted children into their families.
