The Synod of Bishops welcomed guests

In the beginning of the first working session of the Synod of Bishops, which these days takes place in Lviv-Bryukhovychi, Members of the Synod welcomed the guests.

"Liturgy, which we prayed together yesterday, was for me a sign of the Church. Yesterday I saw an inspired prayer of the Church "- said in his remarks, Archbishop Claudio Hudzherotti, Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine. He conveyed the personal blessing for the Synod of Bishops from Pope Francis. And he assured the Holy Father's solidarity with the Ukrainian in these difficult times. He said that the action "Ukraine for the Pope",  visit Cardinal Pietro Parolin to Ukraine, Vatican Secretary of State, became a visible sign of unity and solidarity  Pope with  Ukraine.

Apostolic Nuncio wished the Synod of bishops to take a clear and constructive solutions that would carry the joy and hope of the Ukrainian people.

Bishop Leon Maly, Auxiliary bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church, gave personal greetings and wishes from Metropolitan Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki and the Roman Catholic Bishops of Ukraine to the Synod.
The guest speaker was Metropolitan of Lviv and Sokal Demetrius UOC-KP. He thanked that bishops are open and ready for dialogue. 
Abbot Markiyan Kayumov, a spokesman for the Diocese of Lviv UOC (MP), conveyed the personal greetings from Bishop Filaret, Bishop of Lviv and Galician.
Mitered Archpriest Vasyl Govera, Apostolic delegate for Greek-Catholics in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, read a letter from the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Kazakhstan, and Archimandrite Sergey Hayek, Apostolic Visitator for Greek Catholics in Belarus, sends greetings to all the faithful.
