The relics of the Pratulin martyrs visit Kolomyja

Since January 19, upon the blessing of Bishop Mykolay, the relics of the martyrs of Pratulin are in Kolomyja, in the St. Archistrategist Michael Church. On January 23, on the remembrance day of beatified martyrs, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated and during the sermon the glorious exploits of the beatified were described by Fr. Mitr. Petro Cheborak.    During the Epiphany holidays hundreds of faithful and guests of the city came to the relics of the martyrs to pray and receive their special benediction for a deserving Christian life.  Background information: The martyrs of Pratulin are 13 Greek Catholic martyrs who were shot down in 1874 by the tsar's army in the village Pratulin (for the refusal to forcibly convert to Russian Orthodoxy) near the city of Bila in Poland, which once belonged to the Kholm Eparchy of the Greek Catholic Church (now the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church). In 1996, the martyrs were beatified by Pope John Paul II.
