The miraculous Mother of God icon will be crowned in Hoshiv

On August 28, 2009, during the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God, on Yasna mountain in the village of Hoshiv, the coronation of Hoshiv’s miraculous icon of the Mother of God will take place. Thousands of pilgrims over many centuries have prayed before this icon. Previously, on July 1, 2009, Holy Father Benedict XVI blessed the golden crowns for Hoshiv’s miraculous  Mother of God icon during the general audience on Saint Peter’s Square in the Vatican.  A copy of Hoshiv’s miraculous Mother of God icon was presented to the Pope as a gift from the from the abbot of the basilian monastery on Yasna mountain in Hoshiv, Fr.
