The Head of the UGCC met with a Belarus Christian Democrats

On 17th of April 2015 His Beatitude met with a representatives of Christian democrats from Belarus – Paul Sevyaryncev and George Dmytruk.

Along that meeting countries discussed the importance of close contacts between Ukrainian civil society and Belarus. It is very important for people to visit and talk to each other, as a powerful Moscow propaganda works in Belarus, blocking the communication between two nations.

Besides, they were talking about a defending of Christian values, for one of the main tasks of Christian democrats is to defend these values. Was also mentioned that Moscow propaganda manipulates the Christian values, disposing themselves as the only one defender, saying, everything what is European is believed to be anti-Christian and liberal. Thus, Churches, teaching the social doctrines, in particular of a Catholic Church, must show what Christian values are and how they must be implemented in a social life.
