The first audio project of the Head of the UGCC will become «gold»

A collection of audio disks with the utterances of His Beatitude Lubomyr (Husar), Head of the UGCC, was presented in Lviv. Power and riches, the Church and youth, immigration and attitudes toward foreigners, journalists and businessmen, morality in political and public life… Words on these and other themes now can be heard on three compact disks under the general name: «The road to oneself.» This, the first audio project of the Head of the UGCC, using the newest technology, offers listeners his reasoning in relation to important public and religious questions. «Frankly speaking, beginning the project we did not hope for such a demand for this collection. Presently, considering the amount of requests, we decided to set the general amount of copies of the audio book to 50 thousand. In addition, already in the nearest future the next audio project of His Beatitude Lubomyr will be recorded and produced, » said Dmytro Krykun, one of the journalists who conversed with the Head of the UGCC on the recording. «A gold disk is the dream of every rock or pop performer. That so many people would like to hear His Beatitude Lubomyr testifies to the willingness of Ukrainians to reflect on themselves and become better,» – added Yevhen Hlibovetskyj, director of the pro.mova consulting company and co-author of the audio project «The road to oneself.» «Patriarch Lubomyr is, certainly, a man of faith, a man of prayer. Those paths of life are therefore opened to him that others have simply passed by. This audio book is a view of familiar things from an unfamiliar perspective.»  So said Myroslav Marynovych, vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, dissident, long-term prisoner of Soviet concentration camps, and a writer who spoke the words of preface to the audio book, during the presentation in Lviv. The money made from sales of the compact disk will be used for the construction of the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ of the UGCC in Kyiv. From the beginning of February the audio book can be purchased in parishes of the Church, and there are also negotiations about distributing the disks in a chain of supermarkets in cities around Ukraine.
