The beatification process for Fr. Yeremiya Lomnytskyj, OSBM, has started

On April 5, 2009, after a pontifical Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ the first session of the beatification process of Servant of God Fr. Yeremiya Lomnytskyj, OSBM, will take place. Reviewing and attentively studying the request of Sister Lyubomyra Nadych, SSMI, postulator of the cause of beatification of Fr Yeremiya Lomnytskyj, OSBM, who was appointed by the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, after conducting a proper inquiry into this case and obtaining a «Nulla Osta» in relation to it from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Reverend Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), Eparch of Ivano-Frankivs’k, proclaimed the conducting of the beatification process on March 13, 2009, in relation to the claim of the fact of a martyr's death of the Servant of God Fr. Yeremiya Lomnytskyj, OSBM. In order to conduct the beatification process of the Servant of God Fr. Yeremiya Lomnytskyj, OSBM, UGCC Bishop Volodymyr of Ivano-Frankivs’k formed a special tribunal composed of: Fr. Roman Terekhovskyj, the Delegated Judge; Fr. Stepan Balahura, the Promoter of Justice; and Fr. Vitaliy Tokar, Notary.
