Special attention of Knights of Columbus to the need of the Church: His Beatitude Sviatoslav blessed a minivan for Zhyve TV

June 4, 2021 in Kyiv His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Head and Father of the UGCC blessed a vehicle for the needs of Zhyve Television. A minivan was bought due to the financial support of Knights of Columbus organization.

“Owing to solidarity and special attention of Knights of Columbus to the needs of the Church in Ukraine, today we were able to bless this vehicle for the service of our Zhyve TV by going and demonstrating the life of the Church on the margins”, said Head of the Church.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav stressed the necessity of leaving grand and fabulous churches and move to the fringes in order to show the real life of people who are often forgotten and marginalized. “And, Zhyve TV has to go the places, where these people are”, mentioned the Head.

Yuriy Maletskiy, a national delegate of Knights of Columbus in Ukraine in his comment to Zhyve TV said that it is extremely important to support the channels of Church as television has a significant influence on people’s worldview, thus support of television of the UGCC is a fundamental aspect for them.

The Head of the UGCC expressed his gratitude to the great knight and the council of Knights of Columbus in Ukraine and worldwide.

It should be pointed out that except for buying technical equipment – a minivan and TV camera, Knights of Columbus also support the content of Zhyve TV, particularly “Open Church” program which is broadcast every Thursday at 7 pm.
