South Anthracite Deanery 2017 Ukrainian Seminary Day and Lenten Devotions Raise $53,000 for St. Josaphat Seminary

The Ukrainian Catholic clergy of the South Anthracite Deanery presented a check for $53,000 to Metropolitan Stefan Soroka, Metropolitan-Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia, which represents the proceeds from the 2017 Annual Ukrainian Seminary Day and the Deanery Lenten devotions, for St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Seminary, Washington, D.C. The presentation was made during the annual clergy retreat at San Alfsonso Retreat House, Long Branch, NJ.

From 1985 through this year, 2017, the annual Ukrainian Seminary Day has raised over $888,000 for the financial support of the seminary, which is located adjacent to the campus of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
