"Saint Nicholas Visits Orphans"

The charity event “Saint Nicholas Visits Orphans” has begun in the Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy. Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn) blessed the beginning of the event, which is conducted by the Maltese assistance service and Caritas of Ivano-Frankivsk of the UGCC. In a statement, Bishop Volodymyr states: "The almost two thousand orphans’ letters written to St. Nicholas are not simply children's dreams and desires for love, attention, and care, which is especially true in orphanages and boarding schools of our city and region. Each one is filled with faith in God and human kindness, which needs to be confirmed by us. These letters are not only chances for children to receive gifts, but are also a great opportunity for us adults to fulfil our Christian, public, and parental responsibility." Furthermore, the bishop asked the clergy of the eparchy to help hold a campaign and spread information among the faithful of the UGCC of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy.
