Twenty years ago, on December 20, 1992, the program Spiritual Journey was first aired on the station Lvivska Khvylia [Lviv Wave]. This program was blessed by His Beatitude Myroslav (Liubachivsky). Myron Perun, author and creator of the program, served as its anchorman from the beginning until August 1998. “I remember that we recorded the first programs at the home of Yurko Zelyk since the radio station was finishing its set up.

Rev. Ihor Yatsiv then served as the program editor.  Later its anchormen were Rev. Pavlo Drozdiak, Brother Ihor Yakym’iak , Rev. Taras Havryshko.  At present, the program is anchored by Brothers Yuriy Tsehelsky, Serhiy Radchenko and Mykola Hrynak.

At the outset the program lasted 30 minutes, and from 1996 until today the program is aired for one hour every Sunday from 8 to 9 AM.

Every Sunday listeners can hear a text from the Gospel, become enlightened by a sermon which interprets God’s Word, listen to church news of the past week and find out the list of events which are taking place in Lviv churches.  Religious Christian music is also broadcast.

“The program has been on air for twenty years and without doubt has a large audience circle. Today the media market primarily needs qualitative and well-prepared programs in any sphere – whether on radio, on television, in printed form or on the Internet,” adds the founder of Spiritual Journey.

It is significant to note that in addition to new evangelization, the program Spiritual Journey also aims to promote the ecumenical movement of the Churches.  The programs propagate love and respect to Christians of various confessions.
