"One can talk about a dynamic situation in our church, which is developing very quickly both in Ukraine and abroad, particularly, in the eastern diaspora. Therefore, we hope that the Ukrainians who live in the dull, post-Soviet  zone will be stimulated by the very fact of the publication of the catechism to make themselves known. It will become a good stimulus of consolidation of our faithful in the whole world," stressed Fr. Myron Bendyk, Ph.D, the Rector of Drohobych Spiritual Seminary of UGCC, one of the authors of the Catechism. He called to think seriously about interlinks which, despite how much time the Christians of the Kyivan tradition will live abroad, will have joint unifying factors. And it is they who will be called throughout the ages to create a feeling of spiritual unity. "We want the Catechism of the UGCC to become one of such powerful unifying factors of all Ukrainians. Anyway, the need to compile our own Catechism is an indication of the maturity of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, which feels that it can itself present what it believes in as it relies on its tradition," stressed Fr. Myron. The full interview with Fr. Bendyk on Catechism, its authors, and features of the publication can be found at the following link: www.ugcc.org.ua/1401.0.html.
