During the Sunday meeting with the faithful, the Holy Father wished those suffering from the floods in the west of Ukraine to feel "the Lord's consolation and fraternal help." He also encouraged the faithful to pray for the improvement for the war-torn peoples in the Middle East.
This was reported by Vatican News.

"Dear brothers and sisters, the fourth EU-UN Conference to 'support the future of Syria and the region' will take place next Tuesday, June 30," Pope Francis reminded the participants of Sunday's Angelus prayer, urging:

"We pray for this important meeting to improve the tragic situation of Syrians and neighboring peoples, including Lebanon, in the context of the severe economic and socio-political crises exacerbated by the pandemic."

Speaking on Sunday, June 28, 2020, from the window of the Apostolic Palace, the Holy Father also said: “I also encourage you to pray for the people of Yemen, especially for the children suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis. And besides, pray for those who have been hit by severe floods in Western Ukraine: let them feel the Lord's consolation and fraternal help," the pope wished.
