Patriarch Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) visits Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan)

On March 10, the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Sviatoslav, visited the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Metropolitan Volodymyr, in the hospital where he undergoes rehabilitation. During the meeting, Patriarch Sviatoslav wished Metropolitan Volodymyr a quick recovery. His Beatitude Sviatoslav told Metropolitan Volodymyr about the future visit of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (AUCCRO) to Brussels, which is scheduled for March 21-23. The purpose of the visit is to demonstrate to representatives of the European community that Ukraine is a Christian country, where different faiths and religious organizations coexist peacefully. Metropolitan Volodymyr expressed support of this initiative. Patriarch Sviatoslav told presented to Metropolitan Volodymyr a facsimile copy of the Buchach Gospel of the 13th century.
