On October 27, during a press conference in the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church (Jesuits’ Church) in Lviv, the official website of the church was presented, which is found at the following: www.petrapavla.org.ua. As we reported earlier, on July 8, 2010, the Lviv City Council transferred the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church, former Jesuits’ church, architectural monument of the 16th century, to the Curia of the Archeparchy of Lviv of the UGCC. Considering that in the past this church was used as a garrison city church, the church is being cared for by the chaplains of the Center of Military Chaplaincy of the UGCC. This years marks 400 years since the first stone was laid for the construction of the church and 380 years since its opening and dedication. Unfortunately, the church is still closed for worship and to the public because more than 2 million of books of the Stefanyk National Academic Library are located there. Chaplains of the Center of Military Chaplaincy hope that the newly created website of the church will allow residents of the city and tourists to get acquainted with its inner beauty as well as attract those who care about the revival of the church. A special feature of the website is that people can join the "virtual" parish. This section is intended for those who already want to join the community of church parishioners to actively participate in its revival. We welcome all interested persons to join our parish.
