“Mother’s Workshop”

On May 7-8, 2010, in Lviv, took place the educational event “Mother’s Workshop,” devoted to Mother’s Day. The event was organized by the Administration of Social Protection of Lviv. About 60 children from ages 8 to 17, from families in need of social protection, participated in the workshop that took place in the monastery of Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Virgin Maria on Pasichna Street. The co-organizers of the event were Sisters Servants SSMI, who also helped the volunteers. In the “Mother’s Workshop” children made flowers, which on May 9, Mother’s Day, were handed out women on Halytskyj Square. Also the children prepared letters to mothers and made Ukrainian folk dolls, which they enjoyed very much. The event was financed by the Administration of Social Protection.  At the end of the event the children received beautiful gifts from the Administration of Social Protection of the Lviv City Council that will be needed during the school year and during leisure, for which they are very grateful.
