Mothers in Prayer make foot pilgrimage to Zarvanytsya

On May 22-24 the community of Mothers in Prayer of the Ternopil' and Zboriv Eparchy made a foot pilgrimage to the Marian Spiritual Center in Zarvanytsya. Approximately 90 women (among whom was a 77 year old woman) over two days walked 52 kilometers, Ternopil’-Ishkiv-Zarvanytsya.
On May 22-24 the community of Mothers in Prayer of the Ternopil' and Zboriv Eparchy made a foot pilgrimage to the Marian Spiritual Center in Zarvanytsya. Approximately 90 women (among whom was a 77 year old woman) over two days walked 52 kilometers, Ternopil’-Ishkiv-Zarvanytsya.   “On this pilgrimage we prayed for good vocations to the priestly and monastic state. In fact, the Church proclaimed the present year the year of priestly vocations,” said Father Vasyl Chamarnyk, chaplain of the community. The pilgrimage of Mothers in Prayer began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in the Church of Saint Josaphat in Ternopil’. Father Vasyl Chamarnyk concelebrated with the vicar of Khmel'nytskyi, Mitred Father Dmytro Kvych, who afterwards joined the pilgrimage. At the miraculous place the pilgrims took part in the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Mother of God in Zarvanytsya, prayed before her icon, visited the spring, and prayed the way of the cross.
