Morality in business was discussed on November 2 in Ternopil. This is the issue that was discussed at the roundtable “Entrepreneurship and Ethics,”organized by the Commission on Matters of the Laity of the UGCC.
Morality in business was discussed on November 2 in Ternopil. This is the issue that was discussed at the roundtable “Entrepreneurship and Ethics,”organized by the Commission on Matters of the Laity of the UGCC. This roundtable is one of a series of diverse events of the Commission on Matters of the Laity of the UGCC to enhance professional organizations. “The theme of morality in business is one of the most important issues in the social teachings of the Catholic Church. It is always included in the pope’s social encyclicals,” says Yurii Pidlisnyi, chairman of the commission. The purpose of the roundtable is to look at the entrepreneur without prejudice, to analyze the temptation and opportunity to do good, which are inherent inentrepreneurship and business in general. Roundtable participants received encyclicals on social issues by Pope Benedict XVI Caritas in Veritatem.
