Mobile Brigade, named "Caritas Ivano-Frankivsk", provides a comprehensive palliative assistance

In the "Caritas” of Ivano-Frankivsk, the mobile brigade, which is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive palliative assistance, is actively pursuing its work. This was reported in this charitable organization.

The structure of the visiting brigade includes: the physician, nurse, social worker and one chaplain. In the charitable organization they indicate, that over the past two weeks, the visiting brigade carried out​​ approximately 15 visits to terminally-ill people. Mrs. Inna, who is the physician in "Caritas", carried out physical examination of those patients that participated in the project "Palliative assistance in Ivano-Frankivsk".

After this physical examination, doctor together with the nurse and relatives (as it is usually done) discuss the plan of further treatment of the patient, provide trainings for the relatives on such issues as home care for the patient in need.

"The target of a mobile brigade of “Caritas"- to tell the patient and his relatives about his illness and the full range of medical manipulations, procedures that are to be carried out», ─ says doctor.

An attempt to answer all the questions of psychological and moral character is being made by Fr. Lubomyr, who is the priest in the local "Caritas".

Moreover, besides the qualified medical and spiritual support, the patients of "Caritas" Ivano-Frankivsk receive the financial assistance in the form of medical drugs, food packages, as well as means of personal hygiene.

The activity of the visiting mobile brigade is carried out with the support of "Caritas" Diocese of Trier (Germany) and "Caritas" Archdiocese of Vienna (Austria).
