Ivano-Frankivsk held the Sixth Festival of Christ’s city: Hearts Upwards-2013

On Sunday, May 12, 2013, the Sixth Festival of Christ’s city:  Hearts Upwards-2013, ended.  This event was organized by the UGCC Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy Commission on Youth, which traditionally takes place during the festivities of the Day of the City.

We also remind readers that in addition to other events, on May 10^th during the Festival, there was held an auto-motorcycle-bicycle-pedestrian-horseback race.

The culmination and simultaneously the final chord of the Festival is a performance day which consists of glorifying God through current religious Christian songs performed by stage vocalists and groups.  It was held on the stage located on Vichevyi Square in Ivano-Frankivsk.

This year’s performers included:  Rev. Oleksiy Saranchuk, group “X-NEW” (Kalush); Maltese Cross Corps which presented “Dances on Wheels” (Ivano-Frankivsk);  the community Renewal in the Holy Spirit UGCC  Yak Maria [as Maria] (Ivano-Frankivsk); Youth of the Incarnate Word  (Ivano-Frankivsk); group Apostolship of Vocations (Khmelnytsky region, Horodok, Roman-Catholic Seminary); group Children of the King  (Roman-Catholic Church, Rivne); group  Perkalabski prydatky (Ivano-Frankivsk); group Love’s Light (Dniprodzerzhynsk); Roman Kostiuk and group Andriy Vynnytsky and friends (Ivano-Frankivsk); group Gloria (Ivano-Frankivsk); group Cannes; Oksana Slyvka and the youth choir Osanna.

Festival participants and guests were greeted by Bishop Volodymyr  (Viytyshyn), Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy,  Rev. Vitaliy Demyanets, head UGCC Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy Commission on Youth, and Mr. Mykhilo Veres, vice-mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk.

The Festival of Christ’s city: Hearts Upward-2013 concluded with celebratory fireworks.
