Head of the UGCC visited the Children’s Family House in Zolochiv, Lviv region

On October 20, 2009, His Beatitude Lubomyr, the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, visited the Children’s Family House of the Protection Veil of the Holy Mother of God in the city of Zolochiv. The sisters of the Immaculate Virgin Mary run the house and currently bring up 7 children.  The head of the UGCC was accompanied by Reverend Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), Fr. Oleh Oleksa, Fr. Eronim Ivashkiv, and Sister Veronica Khytra. "The meeting of the head of the UGCC and the children was very touching; it was a great gift for them which they never could have imagined. His Beatitude Lubomyr with great love blessed every child and with paternal care and attention listened to the children and sisters. These joyful moments of the meeting will remain forever in the hearts of all those who were present," noted the sisters.  At the end the children sang songs for His Beatitude, and when the patriarch departed, the children with admiration expressed: “He is so good!”
