Head of the UGCC handed medical equipment to Irpin Military Hospital

Required medical equipment was delivered to the surgery department of Irpin Military Hospital on February 18, 2020, which had been handed before by Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav.

Humanitarian aid for wounded Ukrainian soldiers was transferred by archpriest Vitaliy Voietsa, military and medical chaplain of Kyiv Archeparchy. The priest mentioned that the supplies contained diatermocoagulator and surgical aspirators. Financial assistance for soldiers’ treatment was also provided. “The war is still going and we have to stay open for the needs of our defenders and doctors who care for them! Let everyone be able to do what they can do for those indefatigable, who hold heaven for us”, saying the priest’s message.

Military chaplain also thanked highly esteemed Mr. Onyfriy Handziy, Fr. Volodymyr Voloshyn, a senior priest of Greek Catholic community of St. Volodymyr and Olha in Innsbruck, Austria and Fr. Yuriy Kolasa, the vicar general for the faithful of the Eastern Catholic Churches in Austria.

We remind that on November 11, 2019 in support of hospitals of Armed Forces of Ukraine, His Beatitude Sviatoslav handed medical equipment to the departments of the Main Military Hospital in Kyiv.

Previously, during the official visit to the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Kyiv what was held on November 5, 2019, His Beatitude Sviatoslav appealing to the soldiers, emphasized: “Ukrainians, who live on the territory free of military aggression, have to understand – they are able to live peacefully owing to your wounds”.
