“For eight years we have lived with the idea that war was only in the east of Ukraine and today the east is the whole of Ukraine” – Fr. Lubomyr Yavorsky

Unfortunately, for the last eight years we have lived with the idea that the war is only in eastern Ukraine, and today what we have considered “Eastern Ukraine” is happening now all over Ukraine, states the video of ZhyveTV about humanitarian aid in the Kyiv Archeparchy.

Priests of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in one of the cities of Zhytomyr region take care of a whole hub for humanitarian aid. Today the next humanitarian cargo for the needy was delivered by Fr. Lubomyr Yavorsky, patriarchal econom, and Fr. Rostyslav Vysochan, a military chaplain. The base for collecting aid was provided by one of the city council deputies.

“I am very grateful to all people, who are now coming to help, such as Fr. Roman. He shows us how to work and we have someone to follow,” said the city council deputy.

Fr. Roman Shkribenets and parishioners receive and sort aid every day, for which they have the people’s admiration. As a role model of human sacrifice, Fr. Roman refers to the city council deputy, saying that “this is a person who keeps in touch 24 hours a day, helping to unload humanitarian aid at night ... Together with such people we will definitely achieve victory and rebuild our Ukraine.”

Father Lubomyr Yavorsky adds that it is inspiring to see people and clergy who did not want to leave and instead decided to stay and pray for peace at home.

“It is truly inspiring. It is powerful. It is by Divine Grace that we are all together,” says Fr. Lubomyr.
