First National showed excerpts from the concert «With faith and love»

On May 11, 2009, from 12:30 to 14:10, the First National TV Channel broadcast excerpts from the charitable concert of academic music «With faith and love,» which took place on May 5, 2009, at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv. The TV audience watched the appearances of star of the world opera stage Viktoriya Lukyanets’, soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine and Bolshoy Theater of Russia Taras Shtonda, brothers Petro and Pavlo Pryjmaky, sisters Natalia and Halyna Datsko, the academic chamber orchestra Harmonia Nobile (artistic leader Oleh Geret), pianist-composer Oleksandr Kozarenko, and virtuoso violinist Nazariy Pilatyuk. For four evenings – on May 1 in Ivano-Frankivs’k, May 2 in Ternopil’, May 3 in Lviv, and May 5 in Kyiv – the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the best examples of classical and modern, Ukrainian and foreign music, songs and poetry. The concerts took place with the blessing, under the patronage, and with the personal participation of His Beatitude Lubomyr, Head of the UGCC. The project «With faith and love» is charitable. The money collected is used to complete the construction of the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Kyiv.  Excerpts from the concert of academic music can be seen on our channel which is registered on YouTube.
