Directors of catechetical schools attended a seminar in Briukhovychi

UGCC Catechetical Commission of Kyiv-Halych Major Archbishopric reported that the next in a series of seminars for directors of catechetical schools took place on December 27-29, 2012 at Metropolitan Joseph Benjamin Rutsky Basilian Institute of Philosophy and Theological Studies in Briukhovychi.

The seminar was attended by representatives of archeparchies:  Sokil-Zhovkva, Kolomyia-Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil-Zboriv.  Rev. Andriy Stadnytsky, administrator of the Church of the Blessed Mother of God in the village of Prylbychi of Lviv oblast, and Oksana Stadnytska, a catechist at the above parish, co-led the seminar.

During the seminar participants shared their catechetical experience with one another.  The seminar also included discussions on topics such as:  the functioning of a catechetical school, planning the process of catechization, influences of psychological characteristics of students on the process of catechization, organization of parochial and other site camps.
