Bishop Volodymyr leads ecumenical water blessing in Ivano-Frankivsk
Monday, 24 January 2011, 23:01 On January 19, after the Hierarchal Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Great Blessing of Water, Bishop Volodymyr Viytyshyn headed an ecumenical blessing of water in Ivano-Frankivsk.
On January 19, after the Hierarchal Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Great Blessing of Water, Bishop Volodymyr Viytyshyn headed an ecumenical blessing of water in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The water blessing, which was held on the square in the front of City Hall, was attended by clergy of all Christian denominations in the city, the city head of Ivano-Frankivsk and representatives of the city government and other government structures.
The Eparchy of Ivano-Frankivsk blessed the water and all those desiring spiritual tranquillity, peace and family happiness.
