Another priest of UGCC began military chaplaincy

On July 1, 2010, the head of Commission on Military Chaplaincy of the Kyivan Archeparchy Fr. Julian Sheremeta together with the local priest of the town Zolotonosha (Cherkasy region) Fr. George Holodniuk visited the division of aircraft forces A 4527 in Zolotonosha. A meeting took place with the command of the division and the ministry by Fr. George of this division was discussed.

Fr. Julian described the important role of the priest in the army. He presented the plan of meetings and areas of joint cooperation were discussed.  The officers and soldiers were invited to participate in this year’s military pilgrimage to the Maria Center in the village of Zarvanytsia.  “We are glad that more and more of our priests show their desire to minister for the Ukrainian army,” said Fr. Julian.
