An exhibit of the Underground UGCC opened in Donetsk

On June 2nd in Donetsk, near the UGCC Church of the Intersession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, an exhibit “Towards the Light of Resurrection through the Catacombs Blackthorn” about UGCC underground existence was opened by Rev. Vasyl Panteliuk, Chancellor of UGCC Donetsk-Kharkiv Exarchate. “As Christ arose, so also did His persecuted Church,” noted Rev. Vasyl during the opening ceremony.

Residents of Donetsk familiarized themselves with the life of the great confessors of Christ’s Church and the paths of lives of UGCC bishops. “It is interesting that this exhibit also presents the life of Rev. Hryhoriy Tsymbala, a priest who organized a church community in Luhansk,” stated the Chancellor of the UGCC Donetsk-Kharkiv Exarchate.
