A theatrical way of the cross

On March 8, 2009, young men and women of the Obnova (Renewal) society of Ukrainian Catholic students of the city of Ivano-Frankivs’k put on a theatrical way of the cross in the churchyard of the Church of Christ the King. It was conducted under the spiritual leadership of Fr. Yosafat Fitel’, OSBM. Regardless of the cold weather and snow, the faithful who came for this prayer were touched to the depth of their hearts. The youth were able to convey to those present not only the substance of the sufferings of Christ but also their spirit. At the conclusion of the way of the cross Fr. Yosafat Fitel', OSBM, appealed to the faithful with the words of the Gospel: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” Christ came and comes. Will we go out to meet Him, share with Him our own lives, and carry His light to others? The youth of the Obnova society before all witnessed their love for the Savior.
