A relic of St. Pio has been brought to Ukraine for the first time

With the blessing of Reverend Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), Eparch of Ivano-Frankivs’k, and  the assistance of Fr. Stephan Balahura, judicial vicar of the UGCC Eparchy of Ivano-Frankivs’k, Fr. Vitaliy Tokar, auxiliary judicial vicar, Fr. Yevhen Andrukhiv, and a friend of our Church, Fr. Marko Rupnik, a relic of St. [Padre] Pio was brought for the first time to Ukraine, to the city of Ivano-Frankivs’k. Presently the relic is in the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The relic brought is a handkerchief which was soaked with the blood of St. Padre Pio which he placed on his wounds, stigmata, which bled like the wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  The sacred object will stay in Ivano-Frankivs’k until the bright Feast of the Resurrection of Christ.  Daily at 18:00 in the cathedral a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated, after which each of the faithful will be able to come up to the relic of St. Padre Pio and receive a blessing with blessed oil.
