A priest Fr. Ivan Milyan was appointed to Greek Catholic Ukrainians who reside in Mallorca, Spain. On Sunday the priest served his first Liturgy which was attended by nearly one hundred Ukrainians.

Fr. Ivan reported that Liturgies will be served every Sunday at 10 am and a service for the dead on Saturday at 6 pm. “We have a church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is located on the outskirts of Palma, El Arenal”, the priest told.

Previously, Fr. Ivan had had a meeting with Sebastià Taltavull, bishop of Mallorca and one more participant Fr. Andres Esteban Martinez, ordinary to the Eastern Catholic faithful in Spain.

By and large, there are nearly five thousand of Ukrainians registered in Mallorca.

Almost for a year the faithful of the UGCC on the island have been living without pastoral care. Before, a spiritual guidance had been provided by Fr. Miguel Ambroz.
