To His Excellency,

The Ambassador of Belgium to Ukraine
Monsignor
Herman Koziyns,
General Secretary of Belgian Episcopal Conference
Mr. Ambassador!
Monsignor!
Terrorists, to make us fear, - made attacks. Brutal violence bares its teeth, tempting us to react with panic and aggression. Abhorrence provokes us to a hateful response.
On the grounds of attentat, conducted in Belgium today, on behalf of UGCC community and the whole world I want to express our spiritual solidarity and heartfelt sympathy to all family victims. Our experience of going through the terror is not theoretical at all. Our past and present help us to really feel your pain, a result of a blind abhorrence.
We are by your side, with the representatives of the government, Catholics, and all people of a good will in Belgium. We support EU authorities in this time of crisis and challenges for the European identity.
“The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack… Even when I walk through a dark valley, I fear no harm for you are at my side”, Psalm 23: 1,4.
We commemorate prayfully all the victims, embrace family casualties and hope our joint moral endurance will be fostered.
Let the memory of all victims of terrorist attacks and violence be everlasting in the world.
Let they rest in peace!
Let peace remains with us!
Let us be peacemakers and workers for the sake of justice!
+Sviatoslav
