His Beatitude Lubomyr met with the president of the Biblical Society and members of the administration

On November 18, 2009, a meeting of His Beatitude Lubomyr, head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, took place at the office of the patriarchal curia with Hryhoriy Komendant, president of the Biblical society, and the members of the administration. During the meeting the issue of further cooperation of the Biblical Society and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the field of the construction of the "Bible House" in Kyiv, on Baumana street, 18, was discussed. Another question of the meeting was the exchange of ideas about the necessity to distribute the Bible in Ukraine.  Among the suggestions which were expressed by His Beatitude Lubomyr in particular were the following: 

• as part of the newly built "Bible House" create a biblical sciences library;
• to prepare for the publication of domestic Bibles – a special edition where it would be possible to write in a genealogy;
• during the conduction of the Week of Prayers for the Unity of Christians to hold a "Bible Day.”

At the completion of the meeting the head of the UGCC asked all to pray that God’s Word always act between people.
